Diagnostics Positive Change Improving business results requires doing old things in new ways. Where to start? Traditionally, to change business results we would seek to understand the activities and behaviours that generated them, and then modify those to achieve the new goals. In so doing we would hope to shift the old culture and the attitudes and beliefs that support it. This approach however is insufficient to create lasting change. This process must in fact be reversed. We need to dig deeply and first consider the attitudes, beliefs, and cultural norms that support the status quo [and current business results]. Only with an understanding of the role these elements play can we can then plot the most appropriate and effective behavioural and activity based changes required to create lasting positive change and improved business results.
